Inspired from Late Shri Mehar Chand Adhana, a blind music teacher (Violinist, Sitarist & Vocalist) and

dedicated to Shrimati Kulwanti Asha Moudgil, SIMDA – School of Indian Music & Dance Australia's set up

was initiated in 1994 by Shri Gurdas Chand Moudgil, aiming to promote Indian Music, Performing and Creative Arts, including Bollywood entertainment.

SIMDA has been one of Melbourne's most notable Indian music schools for the last two decades is being

run by Moudgil family and others. Now situated in Glen Waverley, SIMDA classes offer lessons in various

locations in Melbourne and ONLINE worldwide.

With our music teachers trained in various Indian music styles and instruments such as Bollywood Singing, Classical, Light, Sufi and Folk music, Harmonium, Tabla, Dhol, Dholak and Sitar, we will fulfil all your learning needs. Our tutors have musical excellence, industry experience, the passion for teaching, flexibility and the commitment to give the best experience to you.

Because all our lessons are tailored for the individual, not only will you find yourself or your child improving musically, but you will also see their confidence and personality shine, which is so important to us.

SIMDA lessons and classes are open to everyone of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities. Lessons

are available 7 days of the week, round the clock and anytime at mutual convenience.
